Jala Krung, Lunar Cult Spymaster Solitary, Stealthy, Divine, Magical, Intelligent, Hoarder Silvery blades (b[2d10+2] damage 4 piercing) 14 HP 1 armor Close Special Qualities: Many masks, Weak to silver A living legend amongst the Lunar Cult, Jala Krung is said to be a werefox but who would truly know? Other rumours abound that she heavily uses illusions to conceal her presence, and uses traps and tricks to an infuriating degree. All this is a smokescreen however for her greatest trick: Her masks, nine in total, each of which create a nearly completely perfect clone of her that only reveals itself to be the case when it dies and it disappears in a puff of greasy smoke. All of this misdirection inevitably leads to a knife in your back or across your throat, of course. Not to mention her networks of contacts that means she knows exactly where to strike to hurt you the most... Instinct: To discover
- Turn out to have been a mask-clone!
- Vanish into nothing or appear from nowhere
- Deploy an insufferable amount of illusion magic
- Reveal an unwanted trap
- Use poisons to ruin your foes
- Get several steps ahead of your opposition
- Reveal... a form, but is it the true one?
- Blow Praypition, the East Wind
-
Llika Fazzaq, High Judge Solitary, Stealthy, Divine, Magical, Intelligent, Hoarder Two-handed warhammer (d10+4 damage) 14 HP 2 armor Close, Reach, Forceful Special Qualities: Winged, weak to silver The moon itself knows justice - even beneath the pale moonlight there are laws and oaths and power. It is the waning moon that dispenses such things, and Llika is its highest judge. More worrisome is this werecrow's storied ability to use what is known by the less poetic as the "Justice Field", some sort of manner of self-enforcing law, and when you also create the laws that enforce themselves... the opportunity to abuse it is great. Thankfully it is said Llika is just and fair... unless of course she made a law that made it illegal to doubt her... Instinct: To judge
- Judge crimes and enforce their sentence
- Reveal your true form
- Sense disorder and injustice
- Summon the Justice Field
- Blow Kernewys, the West Wind
-
Korron Tavash, Archpriest of the Lunar Infinities Solitary, Large, Stealthy, Divine, Magical, Intelligent, Hoarder, Terrifying Triple-Headed Hooked Flail (d10+4 damage 1 piercing) 18 HP 3 armor Reach Special Qualities: Aura of magnificence, Weak to silver Although not the true leader of the cult, Korron is a force to be reckoned with. The most charismatic member of the cult outside of its true leader, and Archpriest of the Lunar Infinities - this intimidating werelion will rarely ever need to fight - having broken the wills of those that dare oppose him, but when forced to fight he is able and willing to unleash terrifying miracles or cut any who manage to close with him to ribbons. But very few get remotely that far. Instinct: To lead
- Muddle minds and control thoughts with your silver tongue
- Reveal your true form
- Unleash overwhelming lunar miracles
- Blow Kyrratis, the North Wind
-
Sirrys Hange, Warden of the Full Moon Solitary, Huge, Stealthy, Divine, Intelligent, Hoarder, Terrifying Huge falchion (b[2d10+9] damage 3 piercing) 26 HP 3 armor Reach, Forceful Special Qualities: Ursine ferocity, Weak to silver The full moon is the moon at its strongest. Sirrys Hange is consequently an agent of the full moon part of the lunar cult at its strongest - its leader. A terrifying sight to behold - a giant before he became a lycanthrope, his werebear status makes him even tougher than would have been believed. His enchanted armour reshapes itself to his changing form, and the huge, silvery falchion that he wields not only cleaves throngs of fools in twain but tears straight through any fortifications that might try to bar his entrance. Practically a living siege weapon. Instinct: To lead
- Smash through anything in your way
- Reveal your terrifying true form
- Blow Sibyllar, the South Wind
-
Weregriffin Solitary, Intelligent Talons (d10+2 damage 1 piercing) 12 HP 1 armor Close, Forceful Special Qualities: Wings, Weak to Silver Strange rumours do abound sometimes about something that blurs the lines between man and beast - but more specifically between a person and a griffin, however the rarity of these rumours coupled with the supposed contagious nature of this form of lycanthropy poses a particular answer. Namely, such a peculiar lycanthrope is less subject to the wild and ghastly whims that a werewolf might be subject to - but moreover that those who fall under this 'curse' are either of a particular family or clan or organisation - and are careful to operate openly. Operating in secrecy, with this in mind it would be difficult at best to find them out, not to mention more than likely perilous - we should, at least for the moment, hope that like the noble griffin itself, that their motives are pure. If not, such a clandestine conspiracy could achieve.... great and terrible things. Instinct: To shed the appearance of barbarism
- Judge someone's worthiness
- Strike from above or within
- Transform to pass unnoticed as beast or man
- Survey a region like only a person or griffin could
-
Werebat Group, Stealthy, Organized, Intelligent, Hoarder Bite or knife (d8 damage 2 piercing) 6 HP 1 armor Close Special Qualities: Wings, Weak to silver, Echolocation Gathering and swarming in the darkness, werebats are becoming more and more of a threat as they induct more of the unfortunate or desperate into their ways. Yet people refuse to see, after all - bats are just to be expected, what is a few more in a cave or a ruin or a forest near town? There is likely something else afoot here but for what purpose? Instinct: To thrive and grow on the periphery
- Transform to pass unnoticed as beast or man
- Strike from nowhere or vanish without a trace
- Subvocally usher forth bats or your fellows
- Locate the unseen
-
Weredragon Solitary, Large, Intelligent, Hoarder Bite (d10+4 damage 3 piercing) 20 HP 2 armor Forceful, Messy Special Qualities: Winged, Weak to silver The startling theory that such a thing as a 'weredragon' exists posits even greater forces at work than any could have imagined. Perhaps lycanthropy was never the endgoal in of itself, werewolves and such were merely works in progress - and that the 'curse' was instead some method of... transcendance? Damnation? The reason as to why is hard to determine but one thing is obvious: Weredragons are rare - because the overwhelming personality change that such a powerful curse would inflict upon someone would make it nigh impossible to conceal - but also very difficult to oppose. What's more frightening is the thought that this too is only a step towards some ultimate goal. If so, what could that be? Instinct: To rule
- Transform to pass unnoticed as monster or man
- Bend an element to its will
- Explode forth as an overwhelming surprise
- Act with contempt
-
Weregargoyle Solitary, Stealthy, Intelligent, Hoarder Claws (d10+1 damage 1 piercing) 16 HP 2 armor Close Special Qualities: Wings, Weak to Silver Sometimes the curse of lycanthropy can manifest in the most peculiar of ways. Perhaps it was less created by accident but as a direct effect of the experiments of the Sorcerer-Kings of old? Regardless what is known is that monstrous creatures such as gargoyles, the stoneskinned winged reptiles that themselves were legendarily bred for a purpose in the past are among the creatures that lycanthropy can mimic. The result (as far as scant details can allow) has revealed a startling synthesis - something more powerful and more dangerous than either of the two creatures that make up the whole. More dangerously it is infamously difficult to try to survey how many of these lycanthropes exist, after all if they can blend in with the already hidden populace of gargoyles that exist in this world, and few people are prepared to even entertain their existence... where do you even begin? Given the blessing of a more human intellect compared to the relatively bestial gargoyles... what are they planning? Instinct: To guard what is yours
- Transform to pass unnoticed as monster or man
- Blend into stonework
- Strike from within
- Take to the air
-
Werejellyfish Group, Small, Stealthy, Organized, Intelligent, Hoarder Stinging tentacles (d8 damage 1 piercing) 6 HP 1 armor Close, Reach Special Qualities: Land- and seaborne, Weak to silver The mysteries of the moonlit depths can be fascinating at times. In certain waters masses of jellyfish can be found and can be quite deadly, but what is more worrying are rumours of those that are both jellyfish and person, cut from the same cloth as werewolves and similar - but more insidious in a way that is hard to imagine. Thankfully they mostly plague coastal regions, but what their motives are or how they operate are still a mystery. But it is said that they are the cause for ships found adrift with no-one aboard... Instinct: To thrive unseen on the frontier
- Inject paralytic venom
- Transform to pass unnoticed as beast or man
- Beckon forth the gelatinous hordes
-
Wereorca Solitary, Large, Stealthy, Intelligent Bite (d10+4 damage 1 piercing) 20 HP 1 armor Forceful, Messy Special Qualities: Land- and seaborne, Weak to silver Only a fool would expect lycanthropy to extend purely to the realm of wolves and men. In colder, especially more watery climes the curse that blends beast and person infects in other ways - the black and white reapers of the deepest seas and oceans are among them. Of course as one would expect these types of... denizen are more likely to be found on ports or out to sea, nonetheless they are perilous if provoked. For one they tend to be much bigger. Instinct: To shed the appearance of civilization
- Transform to pass unnoticed as beast or man
- Burst forth entirely unexpected
- Prey upon the weak
