Malvenu, Agent of Skanz Solitary, Divine, Intelligent, Cautious Mind Break (d10+2 damage) 16 HP 1 armor Close, Far Special Qualities: Water Breathing, Chitinous Shell, Doesn't Feel Pain Malvenu was once a simple scientist, working tirelessly on efforts to cure his son Berethet of an unknown illness. When Berethet passed away, Malvenu sank deep into his studies, to the point of obsession. He eventually found logbooks of a man who claimed to speak with a deity from beyond the known world that could heal any disease, cure any wound, and even command the dead to "draw breath once more". "Skanz". The name stuck in his mind as he pored over countless source books and logs all in search of Skanz and any morsel he could find of this entity. After much searching, he finally gave up in a desperate moment, attempted to end his own life by walking into the ocean. As he sank, a voice called out to him "Do my bidding, and I will return Berethet to you whole. Be my agent, and spread my word, and I will grant you the power you seek." Over many years, and three times as many experiments, his lower half has become merged with the sea with a large crustacean body, complete with crab-like appendages and hard shell, and several legs carry his now malnourished and misshapen upper half around as he completes experiments on his many hapless victims, using what remains of his mental fortitude and the dark blessings of the deity known as Skanz.
