He was once human but now his soul inhabitants a fine suit of armor. The person he serves saved him by binding his soul to this armor and in return he follows them loyally as a bodyguard. He received the name sloth because he desires to do his duty with minimum effort, he does so by analyzing his opponent, finding their weakness, and exploiting it. There are only 2 ways to destroy him find the remains of his human body and burn them, or damage the armor beyond repair both are easier said than done, unless you burn his remains its likely he'll be back.
