The Crypthaunt Recluse is a large spider feeding off of the residual arcane energies of magical artefacts. Any location containing magical items attracts them, but like most recluse spiders it prefers isolated places and is therefore most often found in especially rich crypts. They are intelligent enough to speak and reason with, thanks in large part to their saturation in arcane energies, but they cannot communicate verbally. Needless to say, any adventurer carrying magical items into its crypt is sure to draw its greedy attention. Instinct: To collect magic items
